About This Scene:

New York, New York, Grand Central Station

"Grand Central Station in New York City was undergoing great changes in 1908. An excavation project to build the underground rail system still used today was in progress. A new terminal was also being build, all without disrupting the close to six hundred trains a day that went in and out of the station.

"Helping Simon look for his journal are Alfred Stieglitz, W.E.B. DuBois, Edith Wharton, Emma Goldman, J. P. Morgan, and engineer William J. Wilgus." — from Adèle & Simon in America
